Winch Install

I was cleaning out the Barn and found this Winch. It was bought for some project many years ago and never used. Then is dawned on me that it would go great in my garage/shop!
Years ago I reinforced the ceiling in my garage/shop and installed this eye to attach a block and tackle for butchering game animals. It has worked very well for my butchering needs and I would not replace it. But the winch was sitting in the barn gathering dust, so I figured why not.
I was able to modify the existing reinforcement to bolt the winch to the ceiling. I did it by myself and don’t ask how I got the 40 pound winch up there while I attached the bolts that start in the attic. It was a bit of a circus! Anyhow I go it bolted up, ran some Romex to it from a near by 110V outlet and it was good to go!
Now next time I have to butcher a Deer or Pig I can do it effortlessly in style. Ok, I will admit that it does not do anything more than the block and tackle did but it is pretty cool!
